I truly enjoy this Latoja product. If you use a badger or boars hair shave brush or if you want the product as a stand alone you can't go wrong. Though intended for shaving brushes, garbage cheap ones all the way up to premium badger hair ones, yer gonna get excellent results.Hey noobs, you don't need a rich thick lather to get a great shave. Shaving soaps and creams are meant to do several things.1. The primary purpose is laying down a slick film for the razor (of your choice) to gently glide over. Doubt me? Get in the shower, get yer beard as hot as you can, then jump out and try to shave with nothing.2. To emulsify the beard. It helps soften it up a little bit.The plus side is that you don't need shave cream that looks like you're foaming at the mouth. Just enough to coat yer skin so the razor glides. So don't go thinking you need to see mountains of foam to get a good shave because it just ain't so.If you want something strong scented then look elsewhere. But remember, yer gonna slap on aftershave and maybe a cologne latter. Why would you want to overlap yerself with different scents is beyond me.La Toja is shaving soap. It's slick and it's soap. It smells like soap but it's very mild so once you wash it off, the scent goes with it. Due to the excellent soap and the addition of sea salts you get a wholey clean face out of the experience. The sea salts won't sting while you are shaving. Once yer done shaving, clean and dry you'll feel fresh and yer skin will feel tight. It's a nice feeling. It's squeeky clean even the pores. There's no need to use after shaves with alcohol because you've pretty much accomplished their purpose with this La Toja.If yer like me and you don't like the sting of bracers (that's aftershave with lots of alcohol) then use an aftershave or post shave balm. They're meant to moisturize a recdondion the skin, calming it down drastically. For that I recommend something very mildly scented to unscented. Since unscented is nigh impossible find, I advise you to grab some Nivea post shave balm. I prefer the cooling one. The cooling is mild and yet dissapates shortly afterwards. I've tried several Nivea post shave balms and both of em, the scents are mild and go away in less than 10 minutes. Yer skin is absolutely wonderful in that time. It comes back to life. Now yer ready for yer favorite cologne. There are no overlapping scents to concern yerself with. Just the bliss of a nice cologne. The next best thing is Afta. But after you use it, try washing yer face 2 hours latter and something washes off. Actually that's because Afta doesn't fully absorb into the skin the way it should. Plus Afta is has a medium heavy scent that lingers a very long time. Not good if yer gonna put on cologne. Five to seven drops (yes I said drops) of Nivea is more than enough, it completely absorbs. Nothing goes to waste.
